#  Alternate Nostril Breathing for Anxiety &amp; Stress

Alternate nostril breathing is an excellent way to relieve stress and anxiety. In addition to helping to relieve anxiety and stress, alternate nostril breathing has other benefits:

- Relaxes you
- Harmonizes left &amp; right brain
- Calms &amp; centers mind
- Gives you a boost of energy

# How to do Alternate Nostril Breathing

1. Sit in a comfortable position with your back erect and relaxed.
2. Close your eyes.
3. Raise your right hand &amp; close the right nostril with your right thumb.
4. Inhale through the left nostril - 4 seconds.
5. Immediately close the left nostril with your right ring finger and little finger and at the same time remove your thumb from the right nostril.
6. Exhale through this nostril - 8 seconds.
7. Inhale through the right nostril - 4 seconds.
8. Close the right nostril with your right thumb and release your other fingers.
9. Exhale through the left nostril - 8 seconds.

This completes 1 full round. Do 3-7 rounds at a time.

Do not force the breathing. Relax and allow it to flow. If there are nasal passage blockages, use another breathing technique. Breathing times are suggested times only.
