Is Qigong or Mindfulness Meditation better?

Qigong vs Mindfulness Meditation

QUESTION

I currently do qigong but am wondering which is better overall, qigong or mindfulness?

ANSWER

As with everything, there will be varying opinions on the subject. Some will say qigong is better, some will say mindfulness is better and yet still others will say they are both the same. Studies and/or personal experiences will be used to support whatever position is held.

We are of the mindset that it is best not to compare two things from an intellectual perspective, but rather, learn to be guided to the method that is best suited for you based on your goals, your likes, and desires. This is because your goals and likes will be different then someone else's. In addition, your ability to allow and relax into a method will be based on many other factors as well.

As a result, what may be good for you may not be the best for another. There is not a “one-fits-all” approach to life in this creative universe. As such, we do not teach making decisions from the intellectual perspective. Our goal is to teach you how to be guided from within using the principles of the law of attraction. Again, we encourage you to first and foremost rely on your source/inner guidance/spiritual guidance for answers on what would be best for you.

What to do next?

First, clearly define what it is that you wish to accomplish. Ask your source, whatever you call your source, to guide you on the best meditation for you based on your goals. If you have not developed a strong relationship with your source to the point where you can clearly understand the responses, make sure to ask for a sign that you will understand. Ask that it be something obvious so that you will know it is from source.

Additional Guidance

Please note that you do have the ability, once you start any meditation, to get more clear on what it is that you would like to experience. This is because you have now experienced the meditation. Now you know aspects that you like and aspects that you do not like. Before, you did not have this awareness.

As an example, let’s say you started practicing qigong and overall you love it. However, you noticed there was one particular aspect you did not like. You could then ask for further guidance on a method that would improve whatever it is that you do not like. This could possibly lead you to a different style of qigong practice, which may be more suited for your desires and goals.
