It is okay to spend time focused on you and your well-being - emotional, spiritual and physical. Regardless of what is going on in your life, it is okay to step back from your normal responsibilities and just take care of the bare minimum.
For those who follow me, you would have noticed that I have not been active on my blog or newsletter for a few months. At first I resisted taking time off. I am a small business owner and quite frankly taking time off did not seem like a good idea in my mind. However, IAM was guiding me otherwise.
I needed time to grow stronger spiritually, to reconnect with nature, move into my tiny home, and just have fun! I had been taking on too much and just needed some “me and IAM” time.
Don’t get me wrong, I did continue to work, however, I took off some responsibilities. For instance, I did not blog or do any podcasts. I also let go of a major responsibility I had that was outside of Seek Within You. That responsibility took up too much of my time and it was extremely difficult to reconnect with myself to engage with my audience.
Now I feel so much better. I feel rested, more focused, more rejuvenated, and just more joyful. As a result, I am ready to re-engage with my audience with authenticity that would not have happened had I continued with my previous pace.
We must be true to ourselves and our personal journey as we work to help others grow spiritually. What we do ourselves says more about who we are than anything we could ever say. We must walk the talk.
How can you do it?
You may think that what I did is not possible for you, but it is. In order for this to happen though, you have to open your mind to it. If you instantly say that you cannot do it, then the universe just answers that for you. If you open to being able to relieve yourself of some responsibilities, then your source can guide you on what that is. It is as simple as that.
Go to your source and ask what you can let go of right now. You may be shocked at what they guide you to do.
Many times we are told we have to do certain things or activities because that is what other successful people have done. Well let go of those ideas and allow your source to show you the way.
Remember this is a creative world. If you believe you have to do it, then you create that reality. The opposite is true if you are open to it.
