Have you ever walked into a room and then immediately started to feel bad? Are you feeling overwhelmed and drained when you are around others? Do you dread being around certain individuals because it makes you feel bad?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then you are picking up the energy field of the others. Yes, we are all energetic spiritual beings and we are all connected. However, we have our own energy aura that we can strengthen in order to allow the energy of others to literally flow through.
Note: Some people are more aware of this energy drain and others are not. Those who are more sensitive to this are what you call empaths.
Is this protection?
We do not necessarily like the word “protect”, which other healers tend to use, however, we knew it would get your attention. A better term that we like is strengthening your “energy field of love.” Yes, that is right….love.
Put your focus on the love vibrations you are going to send to this energy field, which will help you keep your energy from intertwining with the energies of others. As you continue to raise your vibration, your energy field continues to get stronger.
If you are picking up the energy of someone else, remember you created that reality. Pointing the finger or judging others for their energy field and how it affects you, keeps you in a mindset of separation. You are not separated from the other, you are one.
Having said this, let’s manifest a reality in which you literally learn to ground yourself in your true nature. When you are grounded in that, no one’s energy can affect you. You will only be dealing with your energy.
Only you can deal with your energies, no one else can. Blaming others won’t change that. Ultimately it is you that must move your own energy so that you release your energetic blockages. This article is more on how to literally encapsulate yourself so that it is easier for you to focus on yourself and your healing.
You are being triggered
Before we delve into strengthening your energy field of love, let’s talk about what is happening when you feel someone’s energy and you do not like it.
What is basically happening is this energy is triggering an emotion and/or thought in you that is not in alignment with what your spirit knows to be true.
If you are conscious of the trigger or in line with your intuition, you will leave the area where the room or person is located. If you are unconscious of it, the trigger could cause you to fall back into your old habit of dealing with these energies. There are many coping mechanisms - some of the most common are overeating, getting angry, pushing people away, buying material objects, or using drugs.
You don’t know what this energy is because you were not taught this in school or at home. As a result, you develop ways in which you can feel a little better, even if it is only temporary.
These triggers will ultimately drain you because they will keep you at a lower vibration. It will literally drain or lower your higher vibrational energy as you continue to immerse yourself in the environment.
Strengthening your Energy
There are many ways to strengthen your “energy field of love.” We are going to demonstrate one in this video with a guided meditation.

Don’t think too much about it. Remember this is a creative world and your intent is what is important.

Get into the habit of working on your energy field every day. As you get more familiar with the meditation, you can easily bring the field into your awareness - meaning, you can visualize it on command anytime that you need it.
It is actually a good idea to visualize it surrounding you before you start major “segments” of your day. For instance, before you pick up the phone, before you enter work, before you walk into your home, before you walk into a room, before you walk into the grocery store, etc.
In this way, you are becoming more mindful of your energy so that you can manifest a reality to your liking. You are also beginning the process of grounding in your true essence.
