Your Liberation is Found Through Movement

Your Liberation is Found Through Movement

While meeting a new dog, the dog mom said,

“If you take him for a walk in the morning, then he’s an awesome dog.”

I smiled and said “Same.”

While we may have 2 legs instead of 4, we share a lot of similar needs. Just like for dogs, movement is a key part of a human’s physical health - which is the foundational root of our experience in this world.

Most of us have been taught the physical benefits of movement - a longer life, stronger bones/muscles/heart/organs, healthier systems, increased energy & mental health, it’s a pretty extensive list.

The movement of energy goes beyond just the physical body and applies to the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies as well. I refer to this movement as Unbound Creative Expression.

Unbound Creative Expression

Unbound creative expression is channeling that life force energy and moving it through the bodies to be expressed through movement, fashion, painting, writing, speaking, singing, etc.

We are a toric field of energy that creates a reality matching the frequency of what we carry in our fields. The things we “carry” include energy/emotion from other people, interactions, experiences, consumption, creation, and traffic. The things we “cook our reality” with.

They are the ingredients of life that are then reflected into our outside world until the energy is released or shifted.

What does stuck energy feel like?

  • Heaviness
  • Lethargy
  • Confusion
  • Frustration
  • High Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stagnation

We all have ways of trying to cope with this excess energy that throws off our well-being. And while there are other methodologies that can aid in moving this energy (breathwork, reiki), unbound expression is one of the most effective tools for releasing this energy.

What does that mean?

We are all familiar with the typical ways of moving the physical body to release energy.

We do this through:

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Working out
  • Playing sports
  • Yoga
  • Dancing
  • Qigong

All of these will get your blood moving and the energy flowing.

Some sort of movement each day allows energy to move which in turn allows life to move. The internal world & energy flow will determine your external world and unfolding.

Body Scan

Whenever you are feeling like you need a reset, I invite you to do an internal body scan and movement.

While standing with feet shoulder length apart, close your eyes and feel what it’s like to be in your body.

Ask your body if there are any parts that would like to be stretched or moved.

Allow it to bend, shake, jump, sway, and express in any way it desires.

Song dance

For added fun, do this exercise to a minimum of one song per day. This is a simple yet profound exercise that will connect you more deeply to your body, drop you into the parasympathetic nervous system, and release some stored energy.

Whether your bodies want to express itself physically through dance, emotionally through playing music or mentally through journaling, the most important thing here is movement. When there is excess energy stuck in your field, your life will feel sticky, too.
