Spiritual Transformational Junkie

Spiritual Transformational Junkie

Are you a transformational junkie? Are you addicted to seeing major shifts after doing your spiritual exercises? Do you lose sight of what you are doing, get bored with it, or switch to something else if your ego thinks you are not making progress?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then chances are that you are a transformational junkie.

Addicted to Fast Pace

In our society, we are so addicted to things happening fast. The jobs, movies, social media, social videos, etc. tend to be on the fast-paced side. This is all in an effort to keep the attention of the audience.

The general theme is that without something new and flashy, your audience gets bored quickly.  As a result of this fast-paced “norm”, we expect, whether consciously or unconsciously, every aspect of our lives to change quickly.

The entertainment industry feeds into this nicely as well - especially for transformative movies.

In less than 2 or 3 hours, you get to see a successful person’s life transform for the better. The course of someone’s life that took them years to accomplish is condensed into minutes. This distorts our concept of time. It also distorts our concept of what it truly took to overcome the obstacles. The movie can only address certain aspects of a person’s life, not all aspects.

As a result, we unconsciously get ourselves into a mindset of thinking that our transformation should unfold that easily and quickly for us. Who wants to spend years doing what “should” happen in weeks, if not days?

There are, of course, many more reasons for this quick transformation mindset. We shall just sum it up to a cultural phenomenon that causes a desire for quick results.

What is a Transformational junkie?

A transformational junkie is someone who constantly needs to experience a dramatic shift or some type of transformation in order for them to not get bored or so that they think something is happening.

Example of transformational junkie #1

This person is on a spiritual journey and major shifts are occurring. They are transforming in leaps and bounds. They are getting cle

ar messages from the divine and they are feeling much better.

However, as they continue their journey, they are noticing that the major shifts are happening more infrequently. This is causing them to get bored with the spiritual routine. They want to continually change up their routine because they want to see things happening.

Example of transformation junkie #2

This person logically “knows” the benefit of a regular spiritual routine, however, only embarks upon it when there is a major problem in their life. When things are going well, the spiritual routine gets put aside. As a result, they have not deepened into a true spiritual practice.

When they do decide to do a spiritual exercise such as meditation, if they do not feel or experience a major shift in their well-being immediately, they don’t think that anything has happened. “What is the point of meditating when it doesn’t immediately give me what I think it should give me?”

As a result, they complain about the lack of progress in their meditation. They are then constantly searching for something or someone that is going to help them. They never truly settle into a routine, or own their responsibility in this creation.  They don’t understand why they cannot get better because they have done all these spiritual practices and seen all these healers.

Deepen into your Spiritual Practice

Don’t let your ego trick you into thinking nothing is happening. There is something happening, even if you cannot see it in the physical just yet.

Every second that you can quiet your mind and allow divine energy to flow, is a transformation. Again, even if you cannot see it. The key is the deepening of those seconds into minutes, minutes into hours, hours into days, days into weeks, etc.

The more you can walk in divine energy, the deeper your transformation becomes. Again, the key is wisdom through deepened practice, not knowledge through reading, taking seminars, occasional practice, seeing different healers, etc.

Change your Transformational Mindset

A very powerful way to change your mindset about transforming, is to tell a different story about it. If you are always saying that you get bored unless you see changes, then this will always be the case. Remember, this is a creative world and what you say/think/feel becomes your reality.

Shift your story into saying that you enjoy deepening your practice by doing the same routine or something to that effect. In this way, you start molding your reality to become this.

Divine Guidance

If you are concerned about your current spiritual practice, ask for spiritual guidance on what is the best practice for you? Wait for an answer and then make a commitment to stick with it until the divine directs you otherwise.

If you find yourself getting bored with it, talk to your guides and ask for help. Ask for help in motivation, focus, finding joy, or whatever it is that you need in order to deepen your practice.

They would be happy to assist. Of course, asking is one thing and allowing is another. If you ask, allow the divine to help you by surrendering your ego.

Conclusion

If you truly want to become a better version of yourself, you will need to develop wisdom through a regular spiritual practice.

If it helps, think of yourself as a spiritual athlete. Athletes train for years to accomplish their goals. You too can experience this type of transformation if you learn to deepen into your practice.
