Law of Attraction Weekly Thought 64

Last week I had a session with a client and the words “paint a new picture” came to mind. The concept was simple. You just think of your life as your canvas and your words as your paintbrush. In that light, what picture do you want to paint for yourself? Do you want to continue to paint the same picture that you have seen day after day, year after year, or do you want to create a masterpiece?

All too often, people get caught in a rut of saying the same stories over and over again. Since your words are your paintbrush, these stories tend to paint the same picture - day in and day out. In fact, the heaviness of the paint strokes gets thicker and thicker every time. This thickness is a result of your repetitious stories which we would equate with your subconscious mind. Every time you tell that story, it gets ingrained in your subconscious and the strokes just keep getting thicker.

If these stories are serving you, then by all means keep painting the same picture. However, if you want a new picture, then you have to start using a new paintbrush, new colors, new paint strokes, etc. You have to make an effort to design it the way you wish to see it. At first, the picture will only change a little bit because you have to get used to the new technique but over time, as you continue to practice with your new paintbrush and techniques, your picture will improve and will become the masterpiece of your dreams.
