Time to Reflect for the New Year

Time to Reflect for the New Year

Many think of the New Year as a time to start over again because of all the “mistakes”, bad habits or failures that have happened. What many do not do is take the time to reflect on all the positive accomplishments, positive habits, positive feedback, or positive moments that have happened to them throughout the year. It is too easy to lament over the failures, missed chances, horrible moments, etc. It is far too easy to focus on the negative and try to use that as a spring board to motivate you to make changes. Unfortunately, many times this does not work. As we all know, a continual focus on the negativity only brings more of that into your reality. While you may start off motivated to make changes, the fact that you have spent so much time focusing on the negative creates a tremendous barrier to overcome. It is almost like you have created a tall “negativity mountain” that you have to steadily climb in order to reach the top.

Why not use the principles of the law of attraction and focus on positivity. This will not only “diminish or reduce” the height of your “negativity mountain”; it will also energize you. This will make it easier to stay motivated and reach the top.

If you are convinced that this is the way to go, then take out your notebook and start writing down all the positivity that has occurred in your life this year. Nothing is too small. Write it all down and you will be amazed at how much you have accomplished in one year.

Positive is So Much Better Than Negative
I really like the idea of focusing on all the good things that happened in the year gone by. Feels so much better to focus on the positive rather than negative.
