"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life, is the foundation for all abundance."
Today I was reminded of the significance of this quote. All too often, people tend to look at what they want to accomplish in life to the point of feeling an intense longing. There is a tendency to forget to acknowledge how far they have come in life. This includes the spiritual, emotional and/or physical aspects of their journey.
When is the the last time you really took a look at your life to see all the things you have already accomplished? Trust me, there are so many. Even if on the surface you feel like you have not accomplished much; you really have. The thought of not feeling accomplished usually results from comparing yourself to others. “I haven’t done much with my career…look at how much Susan has accomplished.” “My life sucks….look at the life my neighbor has….I want that.”
All in all, neither the longing or lack of acknowledgement will bring you closer to what you desire in life. What is important to remember is:
- Longing for something pushes it further away from you, rather then closer to you. Read my article for a better explanation of this key point.
- When you let go of the longing and start to be thankful for what you have already accomplished, you raise your vibration. When you raise your vibration to the point of feeling good, then you are in alignment with receiving all that you desire.
