You are a spiritual being and your vessel or body is the "house" where your spirit resides. This makes your physical body very important because without it, you would not be able to be here in physical form. In fact, all “parts” of your being are important - the mind, body and spirit. They are all important because they are all interconnected. Your body is not a machine separated from your spirit or your mind. What one does affects the other.
For instance, your mind is very powerful and the thoughts of your mind - subconscious and conscious - has an affect on your body. As such, what you think about your vessel will affect it either positively or negatively.
If every time you look at your body, you have thoughts of disgust, then it affects your body in a negative way. Since all is interconnected, your spirit gives you a sign through feelings about your thoughts. In this particular case, these feelings will feel bad to you because your spirits are letting you know that your thoughts are not the reality of your body. Your body is beautiful and not to be diminished by your negative thoughts about it.
In our society it is very common for many people to have a negative body image. In fact, we dare say everyone does. There is a disconnection to the true essence and beauty of the body. Even if you think you value your body, there are still remnants of old thoughts that surface. As such, we recommend actively taking measures to point your thoughts in a new direction of love and appreciation for your body. You can start by telling a different story about it.
It is a simple step that overtime changes your relationship with your vessel. You start shedding old ideas and what others have told you about your body. You start writing your own story and say no more to the body chaos of this world. I am going to love my body from here and forever more.
Possible New Stories:
- Every day I love my body more
- I am beginning to love my body
- Thank you my body
- I love my body
- My body feels good to me
- I look at my body with love and appreciation
- I am grateful for my body
- Forgive me, my body
